Durdanah Jahan, PhD student from our lab, presented her Work in Progress (WIP seminar) on “Mapping nanoscale interactions between glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) and mineral precursors in Osteogenesis Imperfecta” at the Institute of Parasitology and Biomedicine Lopez-Neyra (Granada). The presentation focused on her ongoing research investigating the role of proteoglycans and their glycosaminoglycan chains in mineral nucleation and regulation of mineralization, using advanced microscopy, spectroscopy, and complementary analytical approaches to explore nanoscale structural features of healthy and Osteogenesis Imperfecta bone. She highlighted current findings, ongoing experiments, and future directions of the project.
